Mark Buhrle

About Project

Chicago White Sox great Mark Buehrle was immortalized with a 7ft bronze statue inside Rate Field on July 11, 2025. Sculpted by Rotblatt Amrany studio artist Lou Cella, it joins eight other bronze statues decorating Rate Field all by the Rotblatt Amrany team.

The statue captures Buehrle in his iconic wide-stretched, left-handed stance as he throws the final pitch of Game 3 of the 2005 World Series which the White Sox went on to win by sweeping the Astros in four games, ending their 88-year drought.
