Marina Kovalevskaya is an artist, sculptor, and art instructor from Saint Petersburg, Russia. She was born in the Soviet Union (USSR), in Kishinev, Moldova. At the age of eight, Marina and her mom  moved to  Leningrad (St. Petersburg, Russia). She graduated from St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. (MFA, Sculpture). In her city of St. Petersburg, she was involved in many architectural restoration projects. From 2005 to present, she has been a member and working sculptor at the internationally renowned Rotblatt Amrany Studio. As a professional sculptor, she participated in such Studio commissions as Mike Modano, Dustin Brown, Dirk Nowitski, Shaquille O’Neal, and many others. She has given three solo exhibitions—two at Terra Sounds, and one at  Essanay Studio (Auditorium of Charlie Chaplin) at St. Augustine College in Chicago.
