The Chicago Cubs revealed “Champions Gate” on July 18th, 2026, a new addition to the landscape of Wrigley Field. The monument’s unveil was part of a celebratory weekend in honor of the 10th anniversary of the 2016 World Series championship.
Studio artist Lou Cella sculpted the bronze ivory descending from the center medallion that features the team’s workmark. Engraved in bronze plaques are the names of players and managers from the championships.
Lettering along the gate’s arch commemorates the Cubs three World Series championships. Space is left on the gate to leave room for the team’s future victories, according to the Cubs.
The new addition to Wrigley Field represents both the team’s achievements in the past and aspirations for the future.
