Pat Riley

About Project

On February 22nd, 2026, the Los Angeles Lakers honored legendary coach Pat Riley with an 8-foot tall, 510-pound bronze statue outside of Crypto.com Arena. Sculpted by Sean Bell and Omri Amrany, Riley joins seven other Lakers sculpted by the Rotblatt Amrany team in Star Plaza.

Throughout a lengthy career with the Lakers, the hall of famer earned six championship rings; one as a player (’72), one as assistant coach (’80) and four as head coach (’82, ’85, ’87, ’88). He became an icon not only for his success on the court but also for his style. Sporting a Giorgio Armani suit, a crocodile leather belt, and his classic slick-backed hair, Pat Riley is immortalized exactly how he’s remembered. Fist in the air, one of his many rings on the hand at his hip, onlookers can sense his cool, calm collectivism as he led the Lakers to greatness.
