The Fine Art Studio of Rotblatt Amrany, in partnership with the city of Worcester, Massachusetts, is proud to honor Bob Cousy with a bronze statue of his likeness. Congratulations to Bob Cousy and his family.

As one of the greatest ball handlers to ever play in the NBA, Bob Cousy was nicknamed ‘Houdini of the Hardwood’. His ability to dribble around defenders and create plays for his teammates was unheard of. Cousy was a standout athlete on the court, earning multiple awards and recognitions as a 13-time all-star, MVP, 6 time NBA champion, and was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame. Off the court, he was just as decorated. Cousy is a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, earning honorable recognition for his fight against racism in the 1950s and 1960s and continuous support of local humanitarian efforts.

Although born in New York and playing most of his career as a Boston Celtic, Cousy has always called Worcester, Massachusetts home. He has been a staple and role model in the Worcester community for over 70 years. His continued presence in the local community fighting against injustice and building the community has not gone unnoticed. He is being recognized by the city of Worcester with a life-sized statue to commemorate his impact.
