Artists of the Fine Art Studio of Rotblatt Amrany, Jessica LoPresti and Oscar Leon, were honored to have been selected to create the latest sculptural monument at the Gold Star Families Memorial Park. The K-9 and Equine Memorial Plaza pays tribute to the horses and dogs who have served within the Chicago Police Department.
The intention was to create a meaningful and moving monument inspired by visits to the CPD K-9 training facility and the CPD horse stables for the mounted patrol unit. The design highlights the bond between the animals and their human companions and to honor their service and sacrifice.
Many thanks to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation for their dedication to ‘never forget’ by providing assistance and support to Chicago Police officers and their families.
