Frank Howard, AKA ‘The Capital Punisher’ or ‘Hondo’, was one of the most physically intimidating hitters in the sport. This 8-foot tall bronze sculpture of Howard conveys the motion and immense power of his swing with the repetition of baseball bats through time. He stands alongside Walter Johnson and Josh Gibson in the Center Field Plaza of Nationals Park.
