The Chicago Cubs unveiled the Ryne Sandberg statue at Gallagher Way, Wrigley Field by the renowned Studio Rotblatt Amrany sculptor Lou Cella.
Cella has sculpted the entire lineup at Gallagher Way: Fergie Jenkins, Ron Santo, Billy Williams, Ernie Banks, and sculpted Harry Caray with studio founder Omri Amrany.

The unveiling celebrated this MLB icon and Chicago superstar. Ryno’s legacy as a beloved Cubs hero was held on the 40th anniversary of “The Sandberg Game”, and witness history in motion Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 3 p.m. preceding the Cubs game  at 6 p.m. Bob Costas, who had announced that game, was also on hand to introduce the hero of the day, Ryne Sandberg.
